Singer songwriter

Celina Silva is a singer-songwriter and poet currently based out of Victoria, BC. Described as having poetic songwriting and a silvery voice, Celina explores themes of family, healing, identity, grief and loss, and love through her songwriting. She holds a BA in Poetry from UVic, which intersects with her affinity for songwriting. Celina's love of harmony and choral music began with her many years singing in Corazon Vocal Ensemble. Since childhood Celina has engaged in music communities through mentorships, open mics, and workshops locally and on-line, studying with musicians such as Emily Millard, Joline Baylis, Aspen Switzer, Robyn Lamb, Laura Landsberg, Allison Girvan, and Jessica Benini. Recently Celina was awarded the Demo Recording Grant from Creative BC's Vancouver Music Fund. With the support of this grant, Celina will be releasing her first two singles in early 2022.
